Why Your Immune System Loves CBD

by Michal Tomankiewicz

In terms of medical exploration, we’ve only reached knee-deep water so far. We think we know so much when it comes to our bodies, but the truth is much different from what it seems. The phenomena that we are in the dark about outnumber the ones that we have knowledge about. This concerns pretty much every facet of our body and minds, but one part is unknown more than every other. We’re talking about our immune system. Ever since the discovery of the first postulates and the establishment of the first theories about the immune system, it’s been clear that there can’t be one clear truth. Other complicating factors are autoimmune diseases, which have puzzled doctors all over the world for decades without an end in sight.

In addition to the undiscovered territory, we also have the medication problem on our hands. Many medications with deal with immune system problems are artificial and cause many nasty side effects. This creates the so-called medical paradox – one problem is resolved while another one arises within the organism. Such a conundrum has led us to an unlikely path, giving us the opportunity to meet CBD.  This incredibly efficient and useful cannabinoid has helped a myriad of people solve their immunological problems, regardless of the type and severity. Such promising results and a growth in popularity are good enough reasons to cast a glance and dissect the significance of CBD. We’ve decided to cover this incredibly useful, yet underrated compound.  First off, let’s start with the basics.

What is CBD and how do we get it exactly?

CBD is one of approximately 113 cannabinoids. This means that CBD is a compound found in the various parts of the cannabis plant. However, it’s sometimes difficult to judge CBD if you group it together with other, similar substances. The most famous and confusing mix is the one with its psychoactive cousin, THC.

So, to solve this quandary once and for all – what is the difference between CBD and THC? First of all, CBD is extracted from hemp, a special type of cannabis. It contains no psychedelic substances or compounds, making CBD a safe medical option, not a recreational drug.

THC, however, is extracted from a different type of cannabis – marijuana. It is the most famous cannabinoid, as it causes the famous “high” feeling. Thus, it can be said that is the more potent and dangerous type of cannabinoid. It too has medical benefits, but not the ones we are interested in.

How is CBD made, anyway?

Basically, CBD is extracted using one of these two methods – alcohol extraction or CO2 extraction. These two different ways to get CBD oil determine how potent and effective the final product will be. When searching for the ideal CBD oil for your immune system problems, check the product for any indications. Alcohol extraction is accomplished by soaking the hemp plant into ethanol for a substantial amount of time. After the plant is taken out, you are left with a liquid that is full of CBD. What ensues next is extracting the product, often leaving it impure and not so potent.

CO2 extraction is the most expensive, but most effective way. It can only be done in a laboratory, using special chemical equipment to muster the force needed to get pure and unblemished CBD oil. This is the way to go if you want to use CBD oil for your medical problems. You’ve probably heard about the ECS. It’s a system that can be deemed pretty complex, as it is constructed out of many different particles. Receptors are located all over the body and they regulate brain function, appetite and many other facets of the inner workings of our organism.

The ECS is connected to the immune system, by taking into consideration the way cannabinoids affect neural function. They are powerful modulators that have the show to affect learning, digestive and cognitive processes. By interactive with our immune system, cannabinoids lubricate the cells production areas for optimal function. CBD is oil is full of valuable nutrients that your immune system will simply adore.

Promising research

In recent years, the stigma around cannabis has weakened and we are able to see more studies and research being conducted. This is a case all over the world, making universities around the globe a potent ground for medical advancement. The most important area of CBD application is the curing of autoimmune diseases.

Our body sends various types of protective cells to guard us against intruders, infections, and inflammations. However, there are certain cases where our body goes ham when it comes to sending those cells. It overdoes the quantity and these otherwise beneficial protectors are left to ravage our bodies. Diseases like Parkinson’s, lupus, arthritis, and MS have all shown regression when it comes to CBD application. Why is this? The answer lies in the reduction of the inflammatory response rate, allowing us to halt and even permanently disrupt the advancement of these conditions. Furthermore, it can be said that CBD oil presents a conundrum for the scientific community.

Why is this, precisely? Some say that inflammatory activity is a good occurrence, as it further indicates that something is terribly wrong with our bodies. However, this is all solved with the moderate use of CBD oil, regardless of the condition at hand.

A bright future

CBD oil can tackle any condition, both serious and mild. It motivates the immune system to either send more defensive cells or to halt the number to prevent an autoimmune reaction. Several studies have shown that CBD is an excellent aid for patients with ravaged immune systems because of previous cases of mononucleosis.

MS and other serious diseases haven’t been quite eradicated, but more and more research is pouring into this specific area of immunology. So, if you need an aid to battle cold, flues and other conditions, you can use CBD as well. Because of its nutritive and beneficial structure, your body simply adores it.
